Japan fully reopened to tourists on 11 October 2022
Entry to Japan has returned to pre-COVID times.
You no longer need to be vaccinated or have a negative COVID test result to travel to Japan.
All you need is a valid passport to entry Japan.
Currently Japan Immigration and Japan Customs is experiencing long wait times to clear Japan Borders using the traidtional paper forms. Instead you may use the optional Visit Japan Web. Here you can clear Japan Immigration and Japan Customs before you arrive to Japan. Just complete everything on Visit Japan Web a few days before you intent to fly to Japan. Using Visit Japan Web is optional and you can still use the paper forms that you receive on the airplane if you wish.
